Top 5 Vehicles For 2010

The global automotive industry is showing signs of revival since the beginning of 2010 after last two turbulent years which witnessed the filing of bankruptcy by auto giant General Motors due to turmoil in the economy. Worst recessionary trends witnessed in 2009 look poised to fade, albeit at snail's pace, with consumer spending yet to return to normalcy.

The hallmark of the global auto industry is innovation and we have come a very long way from the day of invention of the wheel and powering of the first motor car. Vehicles like cars and trucks no longer portray symbols of status, but have become part of essential necessities in developed countries and ever-increasing list of developing countries.

The major players in the auto industry, including Ford, Toyota, General Motors, Hyundai and Suzuki Motors, have unleashed a range of new models to capture the eye of the consumer, who is holding back his purse strings struggling to fight recession.

What should you look for in a vehicle in 2010?

The technological advancements have changed and redefined the concept of vehicle design. The insistence on high level of safety standards, and adoption of greener technologies, coupled with energy and fuel efficiency has brought the best of the design from the auto manufacturers. Energy conservation, fuel economy, comfort, style and affordability are the major things that an avid customer looks for in a vehicle in the present circumstances.

A new model unleashed by Toyota Motor, the sleek-looking Prius, is one that will catch the eye of the customer. Not only is the car unique in the sense it is a full hybrid electric car, but the looks and style appears pleasing to say the least. Slightly on the higher side, of course, on cost comparisons, Toyota's Prius would be a serious contender among alternatives for a customer who looks for that little extra style and comfort in addition to fuel economy.

In the luxury class, a host of manufacturers are tying to catch the eye of the customer who values luxury, style and comfort in addition to fuel economy and safety standards.

BMW, the other name for style in automotive industry, unleashed a range of vehicles to the style-savvy customer. The new 2010 BMW 5 series, having the new V8 engine that is capable of boosting 0 - 60 mph in less than 6 seconds, is a serious contender in the luxury brand while not compromising on fuel economy and other interior features.

For the connoisseurs of luxury and style, 2010 Audi 8 model car will be a real teaser. The unique feature of this extravagant vehicle is the splendid interiors made of leather and wood inlays, and acres of comfort for the passengers, in addition to the stylish looks and superior performance on the road.

For the middle and upper middle class and nuclear family segment that is growing at a faster pace in emerging countries, the ideal picks would include Scion from Toyota Motor and Honda Civic Si from the stable of Honda motors.

The Top 3 Sports Cars of 2010

Lets review the Top 3 Sports Cars of 2010:

In the effort of keeping confusion and disagreements to a minimum let me first state that the opinions in this article are strictly based on my experience with these three vehicles. I will admit that some of them may be just a tad bit biased, but I am sure that many people will agree with my feelings about these cars. So here we go.

#1) 2010 Chevrolet Camaro: By far the most anticipated American sports car to be released in some time. This car is on word, HOT! With five different models of this car available it's hard not to choose this car. It is also very affordable. The cheapest one being about 22,000 dollars.

#2) 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse: Let me first start by saying that I hate Mitsubishi! But this car is really hard not to like. The GT is equipped with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 265-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway and can compete with most mid level sports cars any where.

#3) 2010 Ford Mustang: Well of course I had to include a Ford into the mix! the V6 Coupe is equipped with a standard 4.0-liter, V6, 210-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway. I would say that in the next two years with a new and improved body style an a more competitive price the Mustang could be the best American made sports car there is. Hands down.

Well there you have it. 2010's hottest sports cars. I hope you get a chance to enjoy one of these vehicles in the very near future...

Car News - The Best Advice You Can Get:

The first thing that anyone wishing to buy a car or replace an old car would want to get is reliable car news. They do not want to be misled by the exaggerated or inaccurate information provided by dealers or agents. Finding a source that can provide dependable news on new as well as used cars was a daunting task in the past. You had to rely on what the salesman or the car owner said. But, nowadays, with the popularity of automobile publications, both in print and online, getting the most useful and valuable car news is absolutely easy. You can search all the available magazines and other sources of information before you make any purchasing decision.

There are a lot of automobile magazines that dedicate special sections to car reviews and pictures. You can get any kind of information you want from these publications. If you are looking for a particular model or any car that you can afford, whether you want to know the price of an accessory or the additional amount you will have to pay for a new feature, everything will be there in such magazines. When it comes to online automobile magazines, you are treated with a more visual presentation through multimedia images like videos, 3D animation, and the like. In Internet magazines, there is more scope for the reader to watch the car in action as these magazines mostly give test drive reports in video format. Some websites provide the facility to find a suitable car for you by searching with your brand or budget as the parameter. You can find the nearest dealer for a company; get their contact information, price, and servicing details. Check the website of the dealer if they have one and collect as much information as possible from the site before you contact them directly.

There are also websites dedicated to information on used cars. Not every one looks forward to buying brand-new cars, especially in the present economic conditions.
